This Hardenbergia is a vigorous, low-growing ground cover that will not only provide up to 3 metres of dense attractive foliage and excellent weed suppression but will also provide an impressive flower show. The violet coloured flowers compliment the clean green foliage beautifully. A beautiful, yet tought variety. Sea of Purple aids soil quality by drawing nitrogen out of the air and putting it back in the soil through it's root system.

Best planting time: March to October.
Flowering time: Spring through to Summer.
Foliage: Mat, mid-green, ovate foliage.
Optimum planting requirements: Plant 2m apart for mass plantings and optimum soil stabilisation and to ensure good ground coverage.
Optimum climatic zones: Best planted in cool or temperate areas. Won't tolerate arid or tropical conditions.
Uses: Ground cover/slopes & retaining walls.
Soil Type: Well drained soils, light clay loams - sandy loams.
Care: Heavy pruning is beneficial every 4-5 years by 2/3 of the plant.
