Maintenance | Dianella are able to handle many soil types, however most native plants will do best in free-draining soil. They will perform well in part shade locations, but perform their best in a full sun position. Remove spent flower stems by cutting them at the base. If the leaves look unsightly, during autumn cut the entire plant back to ground level to allow fresh growth to emerge from the underground rhizomes. |
Fertiliser | Feed with a small amount of general purpose or native plant controlled release fertiliser once a year. |
Watering | This is a drought tolerant plant that will generally survive off natural rainful due to the underground rhizomes that gather the water and nutrients they require. |
Pest & Diseases | No major pests or diseases - a classic, easy-care plant! |
