Ceratopetalum Johanna's Christmas
Johanna's Christmas is a dwarf variety of the beautiful NSW Christmas Bush, only growing to approximately a metre, to a metre and a half high. That's less than half the size regular Christmas Bush would grow to. The best thing about this plant, is that while it is putting on a magnificent flower show, it requires minimal maintenance. It's light frost tolerant, requires little to no more water above natural rainfall and will handle drought conditions with ease. Maintain shape by lightly trimming it back after flowering. A naturally branching variety that is sure to bring life and colour to your garden.
A profusion of creamy white flowers will appear in spring, that will eventually die off, but don't fret, there is absolutely no need for dead-heading as the calyx (the part of the branch that holds the flower) progresses to the deep red colour that many associate with the coming of Christmas.
