Tiger Grass is a an excellent, quick growing plant that has the appearance of a tropical bamboo but is actually an ornamental grass, resulting in non-invasive roots! This variety is a great alternative to bamboo because of this, and displays well as a natural garden divider or in any application where a tropical flavour is desired. 

It's striking lance shaped leaves and thick, dense foliage are well-behaved and will bring a tropical feel to any garden setting whether in large pots, mass plantings or hedges to screen out whatever you'd ilke!

Maintenance Remove tired old stems by cutting back to the stems base. You can trim the plant to shape if desired. On mature plants, remove spent flower heads as well.
Fertiliser Feed with a nitrogen rich liquid fertiliser a few times a year to keep the plant looking lush and healthy
Watering Water in well and water regularly until established. After that, moderate levels of rainfall should be sufficient to keep the plants healthy. Water during extended dry spells or hot weather.
