Dianella Kentlyn

Category: Dianella
 PBR: 'Dikent'
A great variety of Dianella revoluta that's proving itself in the landscape. Kentlyn has slim, upright foliage and easily handles temperature extremes in less than optimum soils. Kentlyn bears generous amounts of small, purple/blue flowers atop wiry stems which sit just above the foliage in the hotter months. The same stems will produce small, blue berries which attract wildlife and create an interesting display. Kentlyn has proved itself over the years as a variety well deserving of the description - an 'all-purpose Dianella'. Great for areas that require erosion control.

Maintenance Dianella are able to handle many soil types, however most native plants will do best in free-draining soil. They will perform well in part shade locations, but perform their best in a full sun position. Remove spent flower stems by cutting them at the base. If the leaves look unsightly, during autumn cut the entire plant back to ground level to allow fresh growth to emerge from the underground rhizomes.
Fertiliser Feed with a small amount of general purpose or native plant controlled release fertiliser once a year.
Watering This is a drought tolerant plant that will generally survive off natural rainful due to the underground rhizomes that gather the water and nutrients they require.
