Alstroemeria Nature's Wonders Collection

Category: Alstroemeria

Grown to the exact same standard as Princess Lilies, the Nature's Wonders Alstroemeria are surprisingly hardy and sure to perform well and deliver true value for money.

Due to their compact, mounding habit, these varieties are perfect for us as a border along driveways or footpaths, but still give an oustanding performance in a pot on the patio, deck or verandah. Position them in a sunny location and expect to see an abundance of flowers throughout spring and summer and, depending on the climate, for up to nine months of the year.

Alstroemerias have a rhizome root structure, which means they store nutrients and moisture underneath the soil.

Maintenance Mulching around the root structure is highly beneficial and if planting in a pot, using one that is around 30cm in diameter. Use a potting mix that meets Australian standards. Snap off old, spent stems to encourage new growth.
Fertiliser Feed in autumn and spring with a controlled release fertiliser to promote good plant health and promote flowering.
Watering Alstroemeria are surprisingly drought hardy however extra irrigation at the time of flower bud formation will benefit flowering performance. It's best to keep the plant moist in dry conditions to encourage new growth, especially when planted in pots.
