Edible and ornamental, Sunshine Blue is a compact rounded deciduous shrub with small, silvery green leaves that turn attractive shades of red and purple in autumn. In late spring, masses of pink flowers give way to multitudes of medium, sweet, dark blue berries. Sunshine Blue is an easy growing blueberry option as it has low chill requirements of only 150 hours and can tolerate a more acidic soils. Although self-fertile, cross-pollination helps to produce larger berries and larger yields.
