Northland is a compact, dense, deciduous shrub with foliage that turns to stunning shades of gold, orange red and purple during autumn. It has excellent winter hardiness and tolerates extremes of heat and cold well. Northland produces white flowers that ripen to very dark fleshed berries with a wild blueberry flavour. These berries will ripen from December and continue into March, progressively getting sweeter the longer they're left on the bush.
